Co-founded by real-life sisters Carol Conlan and Diane Golias, along with Carol's husband Patrick, peanut & knucklehead items are hand-made in their Ottawa Hills, Ohio studio.

Carol’s background as an attorney, combined with Diane’s MBA level corporate marketing and Patrick’s Manufacturing & Real Estate experience translates into a successful work environment for the trio, but they wanted to do something with all of their creative energy as well... and p&k was born.

They are always asked, “So… who is peanut & who is knucklehead?”  Neither Carol nor Diane will own up to the moniker, however, Patrick coined the name of knucklehead & peanut from a children’s story he is writing, and the sisters “borrowed” it because it reminded them of the expression, "I get what you said knucklehead", which their late father often said.

However, on any given day, with a 3 yr. old, a 4 yr. old, a 7 yr. old, and a teenager running around, plus a puppy, a kitty and some tadpoles... there are plenty of peanuts, and possibly a knucklehead or two in the group!
